Family rumor had it that I am of Cherokee descent but it was not till recent years that it came to reality. My father's mother did not want it known that she and my grandfather were Cherokee and so she destroyed all proof.

A few years ago after my grandmother's death my mother started her slow search for proof. At last she found evidence that I am half Cherokee. Unfortunately before she could print her findings her computer crashed. Don't we love the modern day computer!

I will continue the journey on my own for my heritage. I wonder if this is what God had intended!
